We heard about a fantastic Charleston soul-food restaurant called Jestine's Kitchen so we naturally sought it out. Well, there was a line to get inside. And there's always a line outside, as this water-cooler strapped to a tree outside the restaurant proves. We waited for about a half hour in 100-degree temperatures. But it was worth it. I had pork chops topped with barbecued peaches, paired with a wonderful chocolate bock from locally run Palmetto Brewing. I saved the famous and understandably wonderful Coca-Cola Cake for later. Mmmmm.
