I'm a father of two beautiful daughters and married to a wonderful, patient woman.
I have 40 years of local media experience in print and online, and retired from the news industry in December 2021. In June 2018, I became publisher of the Steamboat Pilot & Today in Steamboat Springs, Colo. From 2016-2018, I was CEO and Publisher of RG Media Company in Eugene, Ore., whose products include registerguard.com and The Register-Guard. Before that, I spent three decades in media in California's San Joaquin Valley.
I set up this personal site as a test bed. You may come to it from time to time and see stuff that's weird or just plain screwed up. I tend to experiment with things live, so sorry if any of that messiness is offensive.
